on holiday

How was everyone's fourth of July? I stayed in the city to watch Macy's fireworks spectacular by the water. My roomie Alice got access to her office, the last building on Wall St., so we watched the fireworks 14 stories up from the pier. It was insane. And absolutely beautiful. Before all that, we just kind of bummed around Soho and Union Square. For you J.Crew lovers- If you haven't been to Madewell yet, it's the perfect time to go because they've finally marked down items for sale (which is extremely extremely rare!). I walked in wearing my blue Vince cotton dress and walked out wearing a Madewell tank & shorts. For $40 (don't forget to use your student discount of 15% while you're there) it was quite the bargain.

Madewell is planning to open up their online shop in the fall. Yay!

So... as promised, here are the photos from the FIRST issue of Vogue which was published on December 17, 1892. Unreal....

This reminds me of Gossip Girl.
